RTNDA@NAB: Sessions led by CNN's John King, CNBC's Carl Quintanilla, ABC's Ann Compton and more

Below are a few of the 30-plus sessions, led by the top names in broadcasting, that make RTNDA@NAB the premier convention for news coverage on all platforms.

Leading News Reinvention

The gloomiest year ever in some newsrooms leads some to wonder whether there is a viable future for broadcast news. Part of the reason for the slump on the business side is the growing lack of relevance of traditional broadcast models to younger audiences. Traditional TV and radio spot advertising is no longer capable of sustaining the operation, capital, and profit needs of many stations. Those stations have looked to change models to support free broadcasting. News managers may sometimes have trouble helping find and adjust to these models. This session will help introduce attendees to what is working in the industry.

Change.gov - The Insiders' Look at Washington

Tough economic news and the arrival of President Obama's new Administration have helped bring more viewers back to the broadcast evening news. Viewers look to you – and those on this panel -- to interpret Washington's new and proposed policies. This is a unique opportunity to ask questions of those known for their own hard questions. Their insights will help broaden your perspective and insights of your own coverage to Main Street, newsroom policies and service to your community.
