CW46 WJZY and My TV12WMYT, the CW and My Network affiliates in Charlotte are looking for an up and coming graphic artist/producer. This person will provide support for the Creative Services Department in all matters relevant to audience development, sales support, and local programming initiatives, including on-air and off-air tasks, assignments and functions as directed by supervisor, and responsibility for graphic design development and execution. Will utilize creative development for on-air commercial and promotion messages, in all forms of media deemed necessary, from concept through execution and proof of performance phases. This individual will screen various programming and field video, or other such production elements, in order to find appropriate and necessary material to complete each assigned production task; will be responsible for script creation, development, and proper construction of innovative compelling and creative scripts or print copy designed to work in concert with various production elements including music and graphics in the execution of all assignments. Assist in planning and execution of events and station community outreach efforts with the understanding these events and efforts are not necessarily fixed to standard work hours and may require attendance after hours or on weekends. A minimum of two years experience at local TV station or cable production company, production house or related industry preferred. Working knowledge of TV/video production and graphic/animation software a must. Linear and non-linear editing including Final Cut Pro, writing using basic office skills, creativity, ability to use field or studio camera, knowledge of field or studio lighting and graphics skills are required. Must be able to carry equipment; weight varying from a few pounds to 50 pounds. A college degree is preferred, with course study or background in fine arts, film, creative writing, audio or video production or similar disciplines; job experience and tenure will be considered.
